- Why are we moving to Planning Center from Tithe.ly?
We are moving to Planning Center Giving so giving can be simpler, more unified, less expensive in processing fees, and easier to manage alongside the other Planning Center tools Metro uses. This helps us keep giving, fund selection, recurring gifts, and future giving history in one connected place.
- How do I move my recurring gift from Tithe.ly to Planning Center?
We’re transitioning to Planning Center Giving to make giving simpler, more unified, and easier to manage.
Step 1: Cancel your recurring gift in Tithe.ly. Go to give.tithe.ly/login, log in, open your profile or account settings, navigate to Recurring Giving, select your active recurring gift, then choose Edit → Cancel or Stop Recurring Gift. You should receive an email confirmation after it is canceled.
Step 2: Start recurring giving in Planning Center. Go to metro.churchcenter.com/giving, log in or create an account, enter your amount, choose your fund or campus, set the frequency, add your payment method, and click Give. Bank Transfer ACH has the lowest fees at 0% plus $0.30 per transaction.
Step 3: Download the Church Center app. Visit metro.churchcenter.com/setup on your mobile device to access your serving schedule, giving history coming soon, and other resources.

Yes, you can send your gift via Zelle to Zelle Tag: metrophilly. Please include any designation (e.g., East Falls, Cherry Hill, Advance Campaign, General Fund) in the memo line.
- How does my giving affect my taxes?
All financial contributions are tax-deductible. You will receive a year-end giving statement for your records by the end of January of the following year.
- What is the deadline for annual contributions?
All contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31 in order to be included on your contribution statement for that year. Any online contributions must also be initiated by December 31.
