Crosswalk is Metro Church’s College Fellowship. Students across the Greater Philadelphia region gathered for a two-day lock-in at the East Falls location to discover the true meaning of home.

MetroNext is Metro Church’s Youth Fellowship for students in grades 7-12. The students gathered for a three-day lock-in to grow closer to one another and learn how Jesus is King over their lives.

Sunday Worship live-streamed; In-person cancelled

Beginning March 2, every weekday will feature one leader from Metro who will lead our church in prayer over at least 1 particular “theme” of needs both in our city and local body.

As long as I kept succeeding, there was no reason for me to feel that putting faith in myself was a bad way to live.

Metro’s college group has impacted my life in that I found people I can trust and be vulnerable with.

I am now a firm believer that in the context of community, people change.

When one is in darkness for an extended period of time, the first exposure to the light is very painful.

More than anything, we wanted to be community dependent—both supporting and being supported by others.

Who doesn’t want to be a person of enduring value, a person who is valued and appreciated?

I began to see that if Jesus isn’t my Lord, then something else will always be my Lord.

I experienced through pain and joy that the church is not a country club where you come dressed in Sunday best, but a place—a home—where rags are welcomed.

Love isn’t something we need to emulate or live up to, but something that Jesus already did and is.

On my best days, I live life believing I am beyond the need for Christ, although I may never say or even consciously think that statement. Then on my worst days, I feel that I am beyond the reach of Christ, needing to work until I am acceptable again.

Born and raised in California, I never thought I’d live on the East Coast. Two questions, however, changed all that.

If I’m actually accepted by the Father Himself because of Jesus’ sacrifice, shouldn’t I be free from the need to break my back to gain acceptance from my friends, family, and coworkers?
